Beste bmw liefhebber collega's,

Betreft 330d touring 2004.

Laatste dagen is het s'ochtends maar een paar graden boven nul, en waardeer ik een lekker warme auto des te meer.
Ik zet mijn climate control tempratuur op 21/22 graden, maar uit mijn dashboard roosters blijft echt koude lucht blazen.
Onder de vooruit, en bij mijn voeten blaast juist erg warme lucht.

Is dit normaal en zo nee, hoe kan dit?

- Als ik in het dashboard midden het draadwieltje op warm zet, wordt het enigezins warm in het midden, maar niet zo warm al bij de vooruit/voeten.
- Als ik de tempratuur op 30 graden zet, blijft er koude lucht uit het dashboard komen

Ik weet niet of er een self test bestaat, wellicht dat een van de stel motoren kapot is die de kleppen bediend? Weet van mijn ex-toyota dat je op de clima een bepaalde knoppenreeks moest indrukken en zo een self test deed van alle systemen.

Wat kan zijn is dat je interieur radiator dicht geslibd is. Zijn de heen en retour slangen wel warm? Zo ja dan vermoed ik dus je interieurradiator. Heb het met mijn E90 gehad. Anders zou het je kachelkraan kunnen zijn.

Zet hem eens op manuele bediening, dus niet op auto-stand....
Zet dan de graden eens op 32 en activeer de voorste stand, nu zou er zeer warme lucht uit moeten komen, ligt er natuurlijk wel aan of je koelvloeistof op temperatuur is......
Dit om te testen of je kachelkraan niet vast zit....

I rarely take my climate control out of AUTO and have been very happy with it.

First, understand Europeans. They will gladly sacrifice simplicity for comfort and convenience. The reason the climate control is so complicated to so many people in the US is because most of us grew up with very simple heating and AC: fan speed, temperature and where you want it to blow. BMW's take automotive climate control to a whole new level and its all about catering to you.

FULL auto mode is AUTO on the screen, an the AUTO light illuminated. Partial auto is achieved when you made a manual adjustment to either the blower or mode settings. The setting you do not touch remains automatically adjustable by the IHKA. Full MANUAL mode is achieved if one adjusts the blower speed and adjusts the mode. The computer releases all control to the user.

Using the AUTO mode allows the IHKA to calculate optimum fan speed, temperature setting and vent mode for the conditions it sees. This is based on temperature desired, engine coolant temperature, outside temperature, cabin temperature and a sunlight sensor (most models).

The dial between the vents is called a Stratification Nozzle. It has a very vital role and what it does is dependent on desired temperature, outside temperature, cabin temperature, sunlight and engine coolant temperature. Its actions will always be different depending on those things. BMW found that the human body prefers cooler air to the head/face, and warmer air at the extremities: legs/feet. This formula is for maximum comfort, alertness and prevention of fatigue while driving. It's best to leave it in the middle setting which allows the IHKA to control it. If you cant stand cool air to the face, simply turn it to hot. But if you're like me and like warm feet but a cool face, turn it to cold.

The system is actually quite complex and a lot of research went into the formulas it uses. Once you learn how it thinks, you will find yourself spoiled by BMW's climate control.
