As many have heard, the 2000 Hyundai Sonata 2.5 L shares the same SIEMENS VDO mass airflow sensor ( MAF ) as certain e46s. Researching the issue, there was generally a lot of skepticism, but after ordering one, it is in fact the exact same part for much, much cheaper. the Siemens catalog actually lists the same part for both cars too.
I went to the Hyundai forums, (promise i will never again lol) and asked what the equivalent of Pelican Parts , Tischer, etc (oem parts for cheaper) was for hyundai and actually got good responses leading me to http://www.fourgreen.com I ordered the part from that site with good reviews. Fast shipping and oem parts. it was $150. while bmw had them at $400 and for a more savvy buyer from autohas etc, minimum $300. I was surprised this hadn't been more formally addressed and just wanted to let people knownow. one comment i did have is if you are ordering from this site please double check your order as they do not offer cash returns and I am guessing most of us wouldn't want store credit lol.
I have been running it on my car and definitely noticed improvement from the original. The car idles way smooth and I get much better mpg

The final thing I want to add, - while I am fairly confident in the list above, the main final check I suggest, is to make sure your car has the same MAF as e46 323i models. If this is the case, then it is 100% and you are good to go.
