Thanks! the glare is ok, I have no reflection showing up in the screen, but I also have a black roof, so it does help.
I installed the unit + DVB-t box + 2 DVB-t tv antennas + TMC antenna + Internet 3g.. it was quite a hell of a job, particullary if you don't know the car. So it took me the whole Saturday (the whole day!). but it didnt break anything, and everything was back in 1 piece
First impressions:
-
Radio is working ok, including RDS
-
iPod and Steering Wheel Controls works fine (using iPhone 3G)
-
DVD & audio CD is ok
-didnt test the
USB (but it should be fine)
-
Bluetooth calls are fine - Im using iPhone 3G and to pair it with the unit I only had to turn on bluetooth in the phone- it made the connection immediately. I am able to see the last made calls, received calls and missed calls, but Im not able to access my phonebook list: I read in the Dynavin forum that this is normal.
-GPS is working great: But Im using Igo 8 and I must say Im used to the simpleness of TomTom, so I think Im going to try other GPS application or explore the IGO a bit more. but its working well.
-3G Internet connection is working well: Im using the Dynavinshell that has the Internet apps (Navi, Office, IE or Opera). now I can access webradios
Whats not working so well:
-DVB-t: I had the Dynavin startup screen (so the old firmware). Before I updated the firmware, when I first turned on the unit, I setup the DVB-t, I found some dutch TV Channels, but the reception was very bad and was not able to see any image, the message was: "POOR / BAD signal" - by the way: I chose country: "EUROPE"'.
Then I followed the instructions accurately, in order to update the box +radio unit firmwares: 1st I updated the DVB-t box, after that I updated the main unit (2 step/files).
After the firmware updates (DVB-t box and main unit) then the problem started:
1-everytime I start the radio unit and go to DVB-t, it always does the inittial setup screen, where you chose country, timezone, lcn on/off, language, etc
2-I can't find any TV channels anymore (where before the firmware updates I was)
here's a picture of the antennas I received:

I placed the TV antennas above the windscreen, under the black roof cover (passenger+driver seats). Do I need to power the antennas? or just connect them to the DVB-Box is enough? I didnt connect the red/black cables. And if power is needed, where do I connect them, does anyone know a good power source nearby/behind the glovebox?
