Hello!

I have problem with EGR :roll: . Every morning when i star the engine is shakeing... I replaced a new glow plugs and preheating control unit - still shakeing (only when the engine is cold). One guy from other forum wrote to me - its a EGR problem. Today i tryed to remove that but EGR dont want to come out nothing :rolf: . If somebody knows how i can do that? And it will be not a problem when i will OFF EGR via software?

check your engine mounts

I already checked the EGR, but is clean, nothing strange, working very smooth. Ive got error about swirl flaps... and i think i need to clean all swirl flaps...

Close de EGR and remove the flaps ;)

You think it will be not a problem when i will turn off the EGR via software?

Its better for the engine.

Ok i will do that. But first i need to do a cleaning swirl flaps and all manifold...

It's better to remove the swirlflaps, if they break you need a new engine in the worst case ;).

After I bought my present car (E61 530D) I also directly let them removed.
There are Blanking plates which you can put back (search on google/ this forum for more info).

I just finished my "work" with my car today :) Looks terrible, but now after cleaned -> :///m: ;)

It's the first time I hear of a problem with the EGR/swirl flaps on a F10/11. Does look very dirty!

How is the starting and driving now?

No I don't...but that does not make the difference for the intake manifold.

I cant tell You that... I have this car just two weeks... I had problem with morning shakeing engine when he was cold. When engine got normal temp everything was ok. Also i had a error from ECU about : swirl flaps mechanically faulty

No no, I'm not the expert here.....but this is what the experts have told me (BMW dealership and BMW specialist).

It has to do with the direct injection which is discussed on this forum and elsewhere as well on the www.
